Wednesday One-Line Reading Session, what wonderful words will we encounter today? Today's reading comes from TK from Ling Tosite Sigure. We just played his new song "Tagatame," which is the opening theme for the TV anime "My Hero Academia." The request for this song came from Shirokuma-san in Fukuoka. I'm excited to hear TK read aloud words that are important to him. His voice is lovely when he talks, so I'm sure it will be great when he reads as well. We also have requests from a 26-year-old woman named Kayano in Nishi-ku, Osaka, and from Osaka 100man Dollar-san in Tokyo, all for "Tagatame." Despite being busy on tour, TK took the time to read for us. Let's see what words he has chosen. Over to you, TK.

It feels like something that needs to be absorbed fully.
But TK's reading was so great. Just to go over the content again, I'll read it too:

The poem I just read was "「存在」Existence" from Noriko Ibaragi's poetry collection, "『歳月』Saigetsu(Years)" I found this book by chance in the studio while recording. I'm usually not someone who can read books easily; I lack the concentration to read through text. But when I read this book, I felt my heart being gently captured. I bought it immediately and still treasure it. I often read it to reset my feelings, especially when writing lyrics. Today, I read Noriko Ibaragi's "Existence" from "Saigetsu."

I have read other poems by Noriko Ibaragi and feel a similar sensation to the worldview in TK’s music(especially for solo). Perhaps because they both expressing a highly sensitive inner world in an aesthetic way.

今のお読みしたのは 茨木のり子さん『歳月』という詩集にある存在という詩でした
これは僕がレコーディングをしているときに たまたまそのスタジオに置いてあったんですけれども
僕はもともと本がなかなか読めない人間でして 文字を読む集中力がなかなかないんですけれども
この本を読んだときにこう すっと心をつかまれるような感覚になりまして
すぐに購入して今も大事に持っています 作詞のときとかも結構自分の気持ちをリセットするときに読んだりしますね

を朗読してくれました 確かに「存在」しなかったのかもしれない
なんとなくこう気持ちよく触れ合っただけで なんか「存在」しなかったのかもしれないそうやって
いつか消え失せていくようなものなのかもしれないみたいなね 内容ですけど自分の心をリセットするときに読むっていうのはなんかなるほどなぁと思いました
ねなんかまっさらになる感覚がありますねこの言葉は なんだろうやっぱりこう日々生きているとまあ制作とかもとか創作もそうだと思う頭の中も
うわーってもういろんなものがこう 入り込んでいるような状態なんだろうなぁってなんか想像するんですよねでも日々生きててもそうじゃないですか
なんかいろんなものに囚われたりとか ちょっとしたことにこう心をグラグラってされたされちゃったりとかもするけど
でもなんかいろんなことがありつつもなんか自分の命はもう「存在」はもう自分でしかなくて まあ生き物はすべてそうしてそのうちねまた消え失せていくんだみたいな
大きな流れの中の一つって感覚にちょっとなりますね自分がね
